| The olive tree is one of the most sacred plants in the Holy Bible. In the Mediterranean Sea region, the olive wood has been cultivated since old times and was widely applied in the daily life of the ancient people. The olive tree is an evergreen tree, growing to heights ranging from 3 to 10 meters. Olive trees may live more than thousand years, this means that scientists might find a trees that were in the holy land in the life of Jesus on earth. Olive oil was employed also as lamp oil or as an anointing oil as seen in the old testament when anointing kings.
In fact, it was God who introductory blessed the olive oil and made it sacred as noted in the book of Exodus.
