How do you tin a spider for a stained glass lamp? I am working on my initial stained glass lampshade and I don't know how to tin the spider that it hangs from. Is there a trick to it? I can't solder it to the inside solder seam. What am I doing wrong? Do you use the copper 'tape' to repair the glass? Or lead? If you may not get it to work, undertake with a dissimilar spider, they are not that pricey but need to be real safe to use. Do not use glue, as a lamp-shade may get very hot. |
