I need a mix for a solid ceramic core. you may use the same mix as for the rest. 2 elements of silica sand and one portion of plaster is a general investment - even though use only if you are not doing ceramic shell. The burnout time for ceramic shell is much shorter than for standard investment, accordingly I wouldn't mix the two. If you are doing ceramic shell you will need slurry and see how well you may deal with it. I would be a concerned whether the water on the inside may escape fast sufficient for the duration of the burnout or if it would lead to cracking - it's not going to be capable to arid while it is enclosed with wax. Very significantly you will need core pins, even if you don't enclose it entirely. If you don't recognise what that is ask your teacher to explain it to you.
