Go Eco-friendly This Christmas With Green PrintingIt’s closely Christmas, a time of the year when in all likelihood the most eminent ratio of stationary is employed all around the world. New booklets and brochures are designed for the same purpose. By the time Christmas is over everyone starts preparing for the New Year. A time to do not forget and bid adieu to all the good and bad things that marked the current year, and welcome with open hands, the beginning of something new. By this time, calendars for the New Year starts circulating and notepads and other office stationeries are substituted with newer ones. Amidst all the joy and celebration, Christmas is in all probability the most wasteful time of the year. Piles of gift-wraps, ribbons, old stationeries and decorations fill up the lands. And this in turn, adds to the causes that could fetch the entire mankind and the world we live in underneath great danger. All the printed materials, which are so abundantly used for the duration of this time and disbursed, require a lot of petroleum-based inks, laminates, varnishes, and adhesives for production. And these materials cause the printing houses to give rise to VOCs. VOCs or volatile organic compounds are organic chemical compounds that have a high vapor pressure underneath normal conditions and have the potential to vaporize and enter the atmosphere. These VOCs in all forms are potentially destructive to the environment. When freed into the atmosphere, they may actively harm soil and groundwater. Moreover, vapors of VOCs freed into the atmosphere cause air pollution and this increments the peril of asthma attack and other health hazards. But this does not mean that the only possible option to save mankind and world is by giving up on Christmas. Nowadays, most of the printing houses are ‘going green’ in a bid to bestow towards the international cause of anti-pollution movement. Green printing is what most of the sensible minds behind the printing industry is adjusting to. They are using innovative proficiencies and recyclable raw materials to conserve energy for the future of the planet. They keep track of their total energy usage and utilize systems for offsetting the environmental affect of their businesses. They are attempting to denigrate the consumption of electricity and use papers only from companies certified by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) as it proclaims that the paper comes from well-managed forests that cohere to rigorous environmental standards. With the option of green printing on our hands, it’s time celebrate Christmas in a new way-a Christmas without worries and guilt feelings of causing hurt to mankind and the planet, a Christmas that’s all celebrations!

How do I paint over a print? I have a finelooking picture by Tom Dubois/signed, but I want to put his picture up in our Church - the problem is I don't like the naked man in the corner of the picture or the fact that Jesus has long hair so I want to paint over it make it shorter - any suggestions how to paint over a print? What kind of paint must I use? It's not a canvas print just a regular print. THANKS! It would be a copyright infringment to paint over it as fizzychip pointed out. Why don't you get some other sanitized picture that you don't have to change. Good luck on finding one of Jesus with short hair. |
