Why do persons undertake to make Christmas and Hannukah equivalent.? I feel like the whole "Holiday Party" and "Holiday Tree" absurdness is getting out of hand. NO ONE says Merry Christmas! With that said why do persons act like Christmas and Hanukkah are equivalent? For Christians it is the day their SAVIOR was born, for Jews isnt Rosh Hassanah the most important. And wasn't the week of Hannuhah moved up as to be closer to Christmas in the holiday spirit if you will? I hate seeing a nativity scene and menorah next to eachother, like the represent equivalent things. I feel like Jewish people make a huge fuss regarding it as to be included in something, and making a in general regular holiday into something like a Jewish version of christmas. My mother is Jewish by the way...from Israel so I'm not racist. Hanukkah, figured by the lunar (not solar) calendar, is moved around into dissimilar weeks of December -- those who respect diverse religious/faith expressions aren't making it into an equivalent holiday -- it also lasts eight nights for observant families anyway. . .
