Christians- do you believe that Jesus loves gay people? Someone here said that the church is telling him that Jesus doesn't love him because he is gay. What do you think of this? i cannot WAIT to answer this question! I say absolutely, He does. Completely. He loves all persons equally. The only thing that God hates is sin, he cannot tolerate it, it is altogether contrary to His nature. he CANNOT hug it. He is throughly and exclusively good. So I do believe that the exercise of homosexuality is a sin. I also believe the exercise of premarital or extra-marital sex amidst any person is a sin. i believe lying is a sin, hatred, SELF-RIGHTEOUSNESS, state emphatically and authoritatively at last someone else's salvation, lust, etc and so on. I do not, and please listen me on this, do not believe that somebody being attracted (NOT lusting, which is different) to somebody of the same sex is a sin. It is a temptation. I am tempted to hate, but do i have to in truth do it? This is hard to talk about, because I am not gay, but i have heard gay humans on this topic, and I do not believe that homosexuality comes from nothing. It's a real thing, But God is very very clear that it is outside of His plan. I do not think that the exercise of homosexuality is ANY worse than any of the sins i commit daily, so i am fellow sinner with every one on this planet. Romans 2:1 says 'You, therefore, have no excuse, you who pass judgment on somebody else, for at whatsoever point you judge the other, you are condemning yourself, because you who pass judgment do the same things.' This immediatley follows a share of scripture where the exercise of homosexuality (among all other types of sin) in noted and distinctly shown as not right. HOWEVER, this is not the end of the story. This sin of practicing homosexuality is just as forgiveable as any other sin....our culture, particularly the church, has blown this exercise out of ratio because it is so obvious. I think those who condemn persons who exercise this lifestyle need to thoroughly and closely question or examine themselves first. |
