These Leading Witnesses Support Who This Dynamic and Effective Leader Jesus Christ Claimed to Be!I am come from the heavenly Father and you will not receive me, but you'll run to any person else. We are taught that over a amount of time of 50 years the Jews accepted a heap of 65 untrue Messiahs! But, of course, it is similar today. People will go anyplace to any person rather than come to Jesus Christ. We need to listen without doubt or question what Jesus is saying in these verses. We know when a person does not love God. We recognise when he or she is not mesmerized in Jesus Christ, the Son of God. In the next verse in that passage, Jesus explains how you are more concerned with regards to your reputation with men and your social reputation. You are more concerned regarding what men think of you than what God thinks of you. You want to be praised and honoured by each other rather than have the honour and benediction of God upon you. This is in truth strong speaking, and of course, some do not want, like or be grateful for that. Do not think I am going to accuse you. No. Moses will accuse you. They read Moses' writings but would not believe what Moses said. It is like when you listen someone say, "O, I believe in God. O, I believe in Jesus. But I don't believe everything the Bible says. I don't believe everything in the Bible!" What a contradiction! What I may receive I will accept. What I can not receive I will not accept! God gives no-one that choice or option. Moses wrote when it comes to Me, as Jesus refers to Deuteronomy Chapter 18 and verse 15. The Lord your God will raise up for you a prophet like me from among your own brothers. You will have to listen to him. Listen to him and compensate attention. If you listen to him you will live. If you do not listen to him you will die. All this arose out of a merciful loving compassionate Christ, healing a man who had been paralysed for 38 years! That is why, in these days, we have to be very careful as to what we mean when we say we have FAITH. FAITH may be a vague philosophical word. Many people say, "O I have got faith". I am sure these Jews would have said in an open way that they had faith in God. Faith means and involves obedience. We have to be capable to say not only, I have got faith, but also, I am obedient to Jesus and His Word. Faith and faithfulness are the same words in the Hebrew and Greek. That may come as a surprise to galore people. Having real live critical faith involves being faithful in each area of life, and there is not a lot of that around today. Who is on trial now? Have you noticed the change? Those who misjudge Jesus will one day by judged by Him! It is not just what we think of Jesus. It is what Jesus thinks of us. "This is what I recognise of you." Read verse 41, and in fact, study conservatively and meticulously the whole passage in John Chapter 5. It will be amazingly rich dividends and that has not one thing to do with money! These witnesses support what Jesus has been claiming and he appeals to John the Baptist, and the miracles, and God the Father, and the written Scriptures. There are outstanding doctrines revealed in these verses. We have here, the unity Jesus has with God the Father, and the plan of salvation as men listen and believe, and Jesus touches on the resurrection and eternal life. These religious leaders were wrong, but Jesus wanted them to find the truth and be right. Do not miss who Jesus Christ is as He is revealed in the written Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments. These men were not more than willing to bow to Jesus and His Word, and that is why some persons are lost! How does this affect you?
