God Father
| Whether you believe in God or not, the truth is, He does exists and wants to have a personal kinship with YOU. If you genuinely want to recognise who God is, why not get started with reading The Bible. In 2 Timothy 3:16, God says, "All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness". (KJV) Since God inspired the scriptures, then it would make sense to study them and find out what He has to say regarding Himself and you. The more you read His Word, the more you will discover how much He loves you unconditionally. John said in 1 John 4:7, "Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and every one who loves is born of God and knows God". (KJV) You may not have known God as a loving Father, but the truth is, He has always loved you even when you messed up. if you take a look at verse 10 in the same chapter, you will find, "In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins". (KJV) He has already demonstrated His love to you by sending His Son Jesus to die in your place for your sins for one reason - to have a personal kinship with Him. Maybe you have viewed God in the past as One who could not be trusted. Its possible you make your assumption on your view of your earthly father. God may be trusted because He is trustworthy. Take a look at what the Amplified Bible says in 1 Corinthians 1:9, "God is faithful (reliable, trustworthy, and hence ever unfeigned to His promise, and He may be depended on); by Him you were called into companionship and participation with His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord". The more you get to recognise Him, the more may depend on Him. Think when it comes to when you begin any relationship, it takes time to establish trust. The good news with God is, He CAN be trusted at all times. You may go to him and say whatsoever you want and He will listen to you. He is waiting with open arms. Will you take the firstborn step and move in His direction? How do you do that? First you must receive the free gift of forgiveness for all your past, present and future sins merely by believing that Jesus passed from physical life on the cross for your sins and God raised Him from the dead. Paul wrote in Romans 10:9-10, "Because if you know and confess with your lips that Jesus is Lord and in your heart believe (adhere to, trust in, and rely on the truth) that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart a person believes (adheres to, trusts in, and relies on Christ) and so is justified (declared righteous, adequate for the purpose to God), and with the mouth he confesses (declares in an open way and speaks out freely his faith) and confirms [his] salvation". (AMP) Why do you need to go to Jesus in order to get to God? John 14:6 tells us, "Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me". (NKJV) You have access to the Father through His Son. Jesus is THE ONLY way to get to the Father and have a personal, intimate kinship with our Heavenly Father. Are you ready? If you feel you are not worthy or don't is worthy of to have a loving kinship with God, don't worry, Jesus took care of that for you. EVERYTHING you did that kept you from God, Jesus took it all on His body and was punished for it so you may have an eternal kinship with God. Its as simple as believing these truths and praying, "God, I believe you have forgiven me of all my sins. I believe your Son Jesus passed from physical life on the cross and You raised him from the dead. Jesus, I call on Your name and receive you as my Savor and Lord. Thank you for loving me unconditionally, forgiving me totally and accepting me just as I am, in Jesus name. Amen!" Congratulations! You are now share of the family of God. You have access to the Father because of what Jesus did for you. He made you righteous and you are now free from condemnation, guilt, and shame. Go tell someone the Good News. Let them know what just happened. Finally, get started reading the New Testament in the Bible and see incisively what Jesus genuinely did for you and how astounding you are in Christ Jesus. Always remember, it was JESUS who did this for you and He deserves all the credit. It wasn't anything you could do for yourself, but it was a free gift you received by faith. Now go and discover the terrifi plan God has for your life.
