How to finish a ceramics piece? I just finished firing various pieces, and now I have no idea how to finish them. I don't want to glaze, because I'll lose detail. Also, regular acrylics won't work, because it looks too much like paint and not like unfeigned life color. Watercolor is just too transparent and just is a pale stain. one of my pieces is a realistic hand. so I want to finish it in a way that it looks in truth real. another one is a shoe, and I want to give it that leather brown look. or just like an general shoe. one of my other one is an angel. suggestions please!?! If you want the hand to look in truth real use oil paint, altho if you do a good occupation with acrylics it may be likewise good. Remember that there are a lot of dissimilar shades of color on your hand, it will not look good if you use a single color. You may find it difficult and take you a lot of time if you want to look it like a real hand. |
