Have you seen evangelical Buddhists? PLEASE SHARE..? Have you seen Buddhists behaving like Christians, using Christian "language" and "terms", singing songs of worship to Buddha the Christian way? Have you seen Buddhists services? Buddhists cellgroups? Buddhists pastors? Have you seen Buddhists telling you to receive Buddha if not you will not be saved? I have and this is a trend that is coming up in Asia, which angers me a lot. Because all they do are a direct rip from the progressed churches. Our church personally had an encounter of a Buddhist coming to our church, to record what songs we are playing, and then reporting back to his leaders. Have you seen such Buddhists before? as much as you say what you said, there are a lot of buddhists in asia doing what i said, evangelising, and "recruiting" members, and "praying" for friends to go to temples.... No, I have not and I doubt that would go with the Buddhist path. Buddhism is versus "converting" any person to their faith system. The Dalai Lama actually tells Christians and Muslims not to convert to Buddhism and leave their faith. http://www.ekklesia.co.uk/content/news_syndication/article_051121dalailama.shtml “Do not believe in anything plainly because you have heard it. Do not believe in anything merely because it is spoken and rumored by many. Do not believe in anything plainly because it is found written in your religious books. Do not believe in anything merely on the authority of your teachers and elders. Do not believe in traditions because they have been handed down for a heap of generations. But after observation and analysis, when you find that anything agrees with reason and is conducive to the good and gain of one and all, then receive it and live up to it.” Unfortunately, since Buddhism has gained popularity in the United States, a great deal of churches feel the need to discredit it to their members. |
