The creation of Angels
Humbled by the vastness of the creation, I gazed at the respective planets and stars trough the newly designed Hubble telescope. And for a moment in time I explored the universe through the Hubble's eye, and witnessed the most dangerous, spectacular and mysterious depths of the cosmos. Entangled by thoughts of both wonderment and fear, my mind recalls a scripture in the oldest book in the Holy Bible...
Job 38:4 Where were you when I formulated the earth? Tell me, since you recognise so much! Job 38:5 Who decisive on it is size? Certainly you'll recognise that! Who came up with the blueprints and measurements? Job 38:6 How was it is foundation poured, and who set the cornerstone, Job 38:7 while the morning stars sang in chorus and all the angels shouted praise? Job 38:8 And who took charge of the ocean when it gushed forth like a baby from the womb
It struck me with an vast surprise when I realized that, long before the creation of the galaxies, or the earth, and even long before God developed the sun and the stars, God devised the angelic beings.These mystical beings have no blood circulation in their veins; they don't need oxygen to stay alive, they are immortal beings with the gift of self-containing life. Each angel was produced and designed for a purpose; each with a mind of dandier capacity and capacity than humane minds. Just like humans; angels have their one personality and are competent to reason, to think and to make decisions.Each angel has a distinctively assigned mission, to accomplish.
The aim of Angels
God produced angels to be servants, not only servants to God, but to the whole God family. His plan for them is to be, agents, helpers and ministers to and with the entire creation... Some superior angels are involved in the very administration and government (the kingdom) of God. Angels serve a outstanding function in the establishing of Christ's church, and needless to say the intent of humanity. Some angels serve as ministers to us, helping us to perceive the salvation plan of God. Other angels are here to protect us, and to guide us. Some are here to serve in the outstanding invisible army of God, to protect humanity, from spiritual as well as physical enemies.
In some sense angels are superior to humane beings.
Angels are immortal beings, and were here before the creation of the physical world and galaxies.Therefore they recognise more with regards to humanity, how we function, how we think, and how we will react....They have watched and learned all the actions of mankind and their power and cognition is far superior to humans.
2 Peter 2:11 Even angels, their superiors in each way, wouldn't think of throwing their weight around like that, attempting to slander others before God`. Hebrews 2:7 For a lot of little time You have rated him lower than and inferior to the angels; You have crowned him with glory and honor and set him over the works of Your hands, [Ps. 8:4-6.] Hebrews 2:8 For You have put everything in subjection under his feet. Now in putting everything in subjection to man, He left not one thing outside [of man's] control. But at present we do not yet see all things subjected to him [man]. Hebrews 2:9 But we are competent to see Jesus, Who was ranked lower than the angels for a little while, crowned with glory and honor because of His having suffered death, in order that by the grace (unmerited favor) of God [to us sinners] He might experience world for each person person.
In a heap of sense they are here as servants, and in a good deal of sense they are higher ranked than man in the invisible government of God. Their obligation is to serve the creation in whichever manner God seems fit, as servants, messengers, soldiers, and even ministers to men....
Angels and their tasks
God assigned angels to look after His children.
Acts 12:6 Then the time came for Herod to fetch him out for the kill. That night, even though shackled to two soldiers, one on either side, Peter slept like a baby. And there were guards at the door keeping their eyes on the place. Herod was taking no chances! Acts 12:7 Suddenly there was an angel at his side and light flooding the room. The angel shook Peter and got him up: "Hurry!" The handcuffs fell off his wrists. Acts 12:8 The angel said, "Get dressed. Put on your shoes." Peter did it. Then, "Grab your coat and let's get out of here." Acts 12:9 Peter followed him, but didn't believe it was actually an angel--he thought he was dreaming. Acts 12:10 Past the initial guard and then the second, they came to the iron gate that led into the city. It swung open before them on it is own, and they were out on the street, free as the breeze. At the initial intersection the angel left him, going his own way.
God assigned angels to protect the little children
Matthew 18:10 Beware that you do not despise or feel scornful toward or think little of one of these little ones, for I tell you that in heaven their angels always are in the presence of and look upon the face of My Father Who is in heaven.
God assigned angels to keep us safe
Psalm 91:11 For He will give His angels [especial] charge over you to accompany and defend and preserve you in all your ways [of obeisance and service]. Psalm 91:12 They shall bear you up on their hands, lest you dash your foot versus a stone.
To walk through the world and report back to Him
Zechariah 4:10 Who [with reason] despises the day of little things? For these seven shall rejoice when they see the plummet in the hand of Zerubbabel. [These seven] are the eyes of the Lord which run to and fro allround the whole earth. [Rev. 5:6.] Zechariah 4:11 Then I said to him [the angel who talked with me], What are these two olive trees on the right side of the lampstand and on the left side of it?
God assigned angels to supervise and protect the church.
Revelation 1:20 As to the concealed meaning (the mystery) of the seven stars which you saw on My right hand and the seven lampstands of gold: the seven stars are the seven angels (messengers) of the seven assemblies (churches) and the seven lampstands are the seven churches. Revelation 2:1 TO THE angel (messenger) of the assemblage (church) in Ephesus write: These are the words of Him Who holds the seven stars [which are the messengers of the seven churches] in His right hand, Who goes with regards to amongst the seven golden lampstands [which are the seven churches]: Revelation 2:8 And to the angel (messenger) of the assemblage (church) in Smyrna write: These are the words of the First and the Last, Who passed from physical life and came to life again: [Isa. 44:6.] Revelation 2:12 Then to the angel (messenger) of the assemblage (church) in Pergamum write: These are the words of Him Who has and wields the sharp two-edged sword: Revelation 2:18 And to the angel (messenger) of the assemblage (church) in Thyatira write: These are the words of the Son of God, Who has eyes that flash like a flame of fire, and Whose feet glow like bright and burnished and white-hot bronze: [Dan. 10:6.]
God assigned twelve angels to be gatekeepers in the New Jerusalem
Revelation 21:12 It had a massive and high wall with twelve [large] gates, and at the gates [there were stationed] twelve angels, and [on the gates] the names of the twelve tribes of the sons of Israel were written: [Exod. 28:21; Ezek. 48:30-35.]
The angel Gabriel – sent as a messenger

The angel Michael - the angelic prince

Revelation 12:8 But they were defeated, and there was no room found for them in heaven any longer. Revelation 12:9 And the huge dragon was cast down and out—that age-old serpent, who is called the Devil and Satan, he who is the seducer (deceiver) of all humanity the world over; he was forced out and down to the earth, and his angels were flung out along with him.

Do Angels walk amid us in humane disguise?
Just asking, as I think I may have met one once.....
My 2 year old daughter fell in a lake once, and I jumped in to rescue her. The stones at the bottom of the lake were covered in green slime and I slopped on them. I held her high above my head out of the water as I fell backwards and banged my head on the stones. I was dazed when these arms came from nowhere and lifted my daughter out of the water. This arm then reached in and pulled me out, in spite of me being heavy, wet and wholly clothed. Our rescuer, this normal man in a normal suit then just smiled at us, walked away and vapourised into thin air. Was a long time ago, but I have never understood it.
Maybe and perchance not. I haven't met any person that I considered to be a messenger from God (an angel is a messenger, not just someone who does "good").
