Does anyone know of any legends involving an amulet?
any suggestions on fictional books/folklore legends about an amulet or piece of jewellery? ummm... not rally but the vampire beach series has a chalice in it! en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amulet In my culture, which is of Filipino heritage, we had stories and legends about "anting-anting"'s and "agimat"'s which are basically amulets with charms. it was believed that these amulets warded off peril from its bearers. Coincidentally, if I do not forget it right, a couple of years ago, a news story about amulets were featured in a local channel. A man was being mugged but he refused to give in. As a result, the lowlife of a mugger shot him squarely in the chest and ran. The man collapsed and was rushed by bystanders to the nearest hospital. it was then came upon that he had no wounds and that his amulet, a huge ancient coin was hit by the bullet, therefore, blocking it. Turns out, the man fainted from shock. who wouldn't? Hahaha! Whether or not this is a coincident, only you may decide.
