| SPRINGFIELD, IL Illinois Senate Majority Caucus Whip Terry Link (D Waukegan) will stand alongside House Assistant Majority Leader Joe Lyons (D Chicago) and respective safety advocates today to publicize the passage of a new bill intended to save lives by enforcing speed limits. Not only will this bill potentially save the lives of Illinois drivers, it will aid combat the senseless deaths caused by vehicular homicide, Link said. Senate Bill 1852 permits the use of automated camera systems at points on Illinois roadways that have high occurrences of accidents as a result of speeding. the schemes capture an effigy of the speeding vehicle and its license plate, not humans inside the vehicle. ”520 speed related fatalities is totally too many, said Rep.
