The medal of St. Benedict?
Hey, I just wanted to, I know some things about the St. Benedict medal. First, I am looking to buy one, but I do not know, I buy a cheap one or expencive though. I will take a long time and suddenly I do not want to lose. I found this on a web page $ 35.99 but its value, and then I found a very cheap anywhere else worth 0.15 cents. Should I buy a value of 20 thats $ 40 or a value of 0.10 cents thats Dollar Buy - $ 10? Even so, blessed. I know to do, but how do I choose a priest, a priest or request. What appears in a church and ask them to bless me? I have to pay to be blessed? I live in Colorado, and I do not know what church or anything. Anything could help. Thank You.

Does anyone here know the meaning of the medal of St. Benedict?
What sense of C, S, P and B of the cross. In the control of San Benito with the Bible in his left hand and the cross in his right hand. Could you explain please?!
Medal of St. Benedict medal, originally a cross, dedicated to devotion in honor of San Benito. One side of the medal bears an image of St. Benedict, holding a cross in his right hand and the Holy Rule in the left. On one side of the image is a cup, on the other, a raven, and above the cup and the raven are inscribed the words: "Crux Sancti Patris Benedicti (cross Pope Benedict XVI s). Across the room of the medal is the legend "jus in praesentia obitu muniamus NRO (May we at our death be fortified by his presence). The reverse of the medal bears a cross with initials of the words: "Crux Sacra Sit Mihi Lux" (The Holy Cross be my light), written perpendicular to the bar, the initial letters of words, "no Draco Sit Mihi Dux "(Do not let the dragon be my guide), on the horizontal bar, and the initial letters of" Crux Sancti Patris Benedicti in the corners the cross. "Around the margin stand the initial letters of the distich:" Vade Retro Satana, Nunquam persuade Mihi Vana - Sunt Mala Quae Libaas, Ipse Venen Bibas "(Begone, Satan, I suggest you vanities - evil are the things that profferest, drinking your own poison). At the top of the cross is usually the word (peace Pax) or described the monogram IHS (Jesus). The currency is called the Golden Jubilee medal-SO, which was struck for the first time in 1880 to commemorate the fourteenth centenary San Benito. The Abbey of Monte Cassino has the exclusive right to strike this medal. The Medal of Saint Benedict regular usually differs from the previous omission of the words "Jus in obitu etc, and few details. (To see related indulgences Beringer," Die Ablassé ", Paderborn, 1906, p. 404-6). The holder of the Medal Jubilee usual indulgences can win all under ordinary medal, and: (a) all the indulgences that could be obtained by visiting the basilica, the crypt and the tower of Saint Benedict at Monte Cassino (Pius IX, December 31, 1877), (2) a plenary indulgence on the feast of All Saints (about two hours afternoon of November 1 in the evening, 02 November), more frequently (quoties blackbirds), after confession and Holy Communion, visiting a church or public oratory and pray, according to the intention of the Pope, provided they are prevented from visiting a church or public chapel of the Benedictines by the disease, closing of a monastery or a distance of at least 1000 measurements. (February 27, 1907 Decree Acta S. Sedis, LX, 246.) Any priest can get the powers to bless these medals. It is doubtful that the Medal of St. Benedict was born. During a trial for witchcraft in Natternberg near the Abbey of Metten in Bavaria in 1647, women accused pleaded he had no power over Metten, who was under the protection of the cross. In the study, a number of painted crosses, surrounded by letters that are on Benedictine medals, were found in the walls of the abbey, but its meaning has been forgotten. Finally, in an old manuscript, written in 1415, found a painting of San Benito one hand a team finishing with a cross and a scroll in the other. Personal and scroll were written in full words whose initial letters are the mysterious. User image San Benito, began a cross and the letters to be reached in Germany, and soon spread to Europe. They were the first approved by Benedict XIV in his letters of December 23 1741 and March 12, 1742. Guéranger Sources, Essays on the origin, meaning and privileges S.
